Navigating My Maternity Leave: What You Need to Know
Navigating My Maternity Leave: What You Need to Know
As I approach my third trimester, I want to take a moment to share some important updates about my upcoming maternity leave and what to expect in the coming months. This pregnancy has been an incredible journey, and while I have truly enjoyed continuing to work full-time, I recognize that my body will require more rest and care as I progress.
To ensure I can maintain the best possible experience for my clients, I’ve made adjustments to my schedule and services. However, with the increased demand from both established and new clients, I may need to make further modifications. Your patience and understanding are deeply appreciated during this transition.
Client Scheduling & Availability
Since December, I have implemented a client application process to help me prioritize my time and energy. At this point, I am unable to accept new clients for one-time appointments that require a full intake and analysis. My focus is on accommodating my established clients who are scheduling frequently before my leave.
Currently, I plan to work through mid-May and will be taking the summer off. As a self-employed practitioner, I will be sharing ways you can continue to support my small business while I’m away—so stay tuned for more details!
*As of March 10th, I am no longer able to accomodate new client applications. Please check back in the fall once I come back from maternity leave. *
A New Esthetician Joining the Practice
To ensure continuity of care, I am bringing in an esthetician part-time to support my clients while I’m away. We are finalizing her schedule and will provide more information soon. I am excited to introduce you to someone who aligns with the Therapeutic Skin Coach philosophy and can help maintain the level of care you are accustomed to. So without further ado, meet Tay Lahey...
Tay is a holistic esthetician, mama, and lover of tea and music based here in Dallas. With a background in five-star hospitality and spa settings, studies in herbalism, and a deep appreciation for the art and ritual of tea ceremony, Tay brings a meditative, rhythmic, and restorative approach to skincare.
She customizes each facial based on your skin’s unique needs, creating a sensory experience that revives not only your skin but also your body and spirit.
Tay is incredibly gifted and will be a great addition to Therapeutic Skin Coach. Many has asked me if she offers the same care, and my answer is a big, fat yes! She holds the same values as an esthetician that I do and will be a great fit for your continued care.
Just remember that all estheticians are different and so even though she will be performing Therapeutic Skin Coach facials, she will be bringing her own brand of magic to the experience.
For those who know me, you understand how much I pour into my work. After eight years of trying to conceive, this is the most I will ever prioritize myself, and I hope you can respect that. I have always been lenient, generous, and kind, but now more than ever, I need to honor my own needs and establish firm boundaries.
I appreciate your continued support and understanding during this incredibly special time in my life. I look forward to providing you with the best care possible until my leave and ensuring that you have resources to support your skincare journey while I’m away.
With gratitude, Hayley
p.s. As things change, I will make sure to update this post with new information. Thank you again!
